Robert “Robb” Daniel Earnest is a co-creator of Quelf, a board game with over a million copies sold. Working with Jeremy Fifer and Matthew Rivaldi, Robb Earnest helped design and produce the game. The group also handled its original manufacturing and distribution, while Matthew Luxich provided the artwork. Designed for three to eight players ages 12 and older, Quelf combines trivia with zany performance challenges and funny, unusual rules. Players move character pieces around the board and draw cards from different categories. They may have to answer riddles, mime, sing, or balance objects.
Quelf's first limited edition featured a platypus on its cover and contained 770 cards. A subsequent edition paired dragon cover art with 550 cards and reached wider distribution. Later licensing agreements brought further changes. A version from Spin Master contains 440 cards.
Robert Daniel Earnest has also worked extensively in film and television production. His film production supervisor credits include Kimi, No Sudden Move, and Shirley. He also served as a production coordinator on Magic Mike, Contagion, and Mulholland Drive. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California, San Diego.
